What can I say. It's just the one picture, but I couldn't walk past Clifford's Tower without taking it, on a clear bright morning in February 2004. I can't do justice to the history and importance of this place in a few words here. Links giving more information appear below. But in recent years many hard-working and committed citizens of York - and further afield - have worked to save this monument from the planned commercial redevelopment of the areas around it. |
